Furniture for Mallorca Homes
Many of the homes we furnish in Mallorca belong to owners who live elsewhere for part of the year – in Germany, the UK or Scandinavia. They want a house that feels finished when they arrive, that can be locked up at the end of the season, and that does not require weeks on the island to organise. LoNiu Home, an interior design studio and furniture store in Palma, is set up for exactly that.
Furniture chosen for the island
A home in Mallorca asks different things of its furniture than a flat in Hamburg or London. Strong light fades fabrics; sea air affects metals; houses stand closed for months; terraces are used as much as living rooms. We therefore favour solid wood, teak, natural fibres and stone, washable or removable covers, and outdoor pieces built for sun and salt. Our furniture, outdoor, lighting and textile collections are selected with this in mind.
Furnishing a holiday home from abroad
You do not need to be on the island to furnish your house. Most owners send us plans or photographs and we continue by email and video call. When you are in Mallorca, you are welcome to visit our showroom in Palma by appointment. A typical sequence:
- Brief: rooms, number of beds, how the house will be used (family, guests, rental) and your timing.
- Selection: we propose furniture, lighting and textiles room by room, or you choose from our ready-made Room Sets.
- Delivery: free anywhere in Mallorca, usually within 3–4 weeks. We can coordinate access with your caretaker or property manager. Assembly and installation are available on request and quoted separately.
Room Sets for a quick, coherent start
Our 21 Room Sets combine the main pieces of a room in one order, each around 6% less than buying the pieces separately: dining sets, living room sets, bedroom sets and outdoor sets for terrace and pool. For a holiday home they make planning much simpler: choose one set per room, then add lamps, rugs and cushions.
Holiday rentals
If you rent the house to guests, durability and easy replacement matter as much as appearance. Interior design and renovation
If the house is being renovated or built, the earlier furniture is considered, the better: socket positions, lighting points, built-in storage and the size of a dining table all depend on each other. Can I furnish my house in Mallorca without travelling there?
Yes. We work from plans and photographs by email and video call and can coordinate delivery with your caretaker or property manager.
